Abstract
A hand powered milk extracting machine characterized by the combining of the vacuum reservoir and liquid retaining vessel that may be used on any milk producing land mammal.
Description
Description This invention was developed to meet the needs of three basic groups, the small producer, the eco friendly non electric producer and those producers in areas that do not have electricity available for the use of milking machines.
The invention consists of a manual vacuum pump which creates the pressure differential for extracting the milk, a check valve which supplies a pulsating effect as the vacuum is reached by overcoming the preset spring tension and then closing once it falls below the spring tension, a vacuum gauge for observing current vacuum rate, connecting hoses, liquid containing vessel(s) and teat cone(s).
The use of the invention has several advantages when milking the animals over milking directly by hand. An important one is the reduction of exposure to contaminants and bacteria by directly placing the milk into a closed container reducing the chance of loose hairs, dirt and other undesirables from entering the milk reservoir which occurs when milking directly into a bucket by hand. Another advantage is the compact size that can be obtained by this unit which changes by the type of animal being milked and the time it takes to milk an animal.
The benefit of reducing time to milk an animal is two fold, it reduces the stress on the animal and it gives the producer the opportunity to increase the number of animals being processed.
Prior Art All searches on the Canadian Intellectual Property Office site for any existing patents for any machine of this nature were negative as no items were found.

Claims (6)
1. The easy hand milking machine is solely powered by human effort, it uses no electricity.
2. The easy hand milking machine combines the vacuum reservoir and liquid containing vessel.
3. The easy hand milking machine does not use a pulsation unit but achieves a pulsation effect with the added check valve.
4. The easy hand milking machine can be used on any milk producing land mammal.
5. The easy hand milking machine reduces the time it takes to milk an animal.
6. The easy hand milking machine is portable and can be hand carried.
