Abstract
A soundproof illuminated "enclosure chair" which in the open position functions as a simple chair and in the closed position functions as a soundproof illuminated "white light meditation" room.
The chair comprises two overlapping spherical bowls, the outer most bowl pivoting around and over the innermost bowl to create a soundproof illuminated enclosure.

Description
Meditation Station This invention relates to a soundproof illuminated "enclosure chair" which in the open position functions as a simple chair and in the closed position functions as a soundproof illuminated "white light meditation" room.
It is common in devices for providing a "white light meditation" experience to use glasses to establish said experience. Glasses of this type are unsatisfactory because having a light so close to the eyes is potentially harmful, can cause a claustrophobic and/or uncomfortable feeling, and does not address the need for a soundproof environment without the use of earplugs which themselves are uncomfortable and unsatisfactory because while they do block external noise, they are counterproductive because they introduce the isolated sounds of ones own breathing and heartbeat.
Typical glasses of this type are shown for example in the following patents:

Typical glasses of this type are shown for example in the following patents:
2,065,249 NIHONKENKOZOSHINKENKYUKAI CO., LTD
2,513,610 PATEX GROUP LTD
Such glasses may serve some purpose but they do not provide a satisfactory "white light meditation"
experience.
A satisfactory "white light meditation" experience is achieved by sitting cross-legged within a spherical enclosure. The spherical enclosure should be soundproof, and have a white or translucent/illuminated interior surface. The spherical enclosure can be a one piece enclosed sphere with a door but to maximize functionality and for aesthetic purposes, it should have a base like that of a regular chair composed of a 2 piece overlapping spherical component whereby it converts from a regular chair into an enclosed sphere, either manually via any existing or novel crank mechanism or automatically via a motor. The embodiment of the invention being described herein operates via two motors. The interior of the sphere should accommodate any sort of seating such as a basic flat surface and a seat back within the sphere, or a seating system whereby any existing or novel mechanism can provide a multi position adjustable seat, back and armrests.
Speakers and a media player jack should be incorporated for auditory stimulation during meditation or surround sound from a home theater.
In the drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention:

Fig. lb shows an angled view of said enclosure chair in the closed position.

In the embodiment of the invention illustrated, = Pivot pins 7 are fastened to and supported by vertical support beams 11 of a frame 18 at the outer ends, fed through pulley cylinders 6 of a dome bowl 2, and fastened to a chair bowl 3 on the inner ends.

= The motors 14 are fastened to and supported by motor support brackets 13.
= The motor support brackets 13 are fastened to and supported by vertical support beam 11.
= When the motors 14 are activated via wireless remote the pulley cylinders 6 encircle the pivot pins 7 causing the dome bowl 2 to pivot from it's position directly under the chair bowl 3 to directly above the chair bowl 3.
= A soundproof material overhang 17 plugs any gap between the chair bowl 3 and the dome bowl 2.
= A light 8 turns on automatically via a sensor.
= The dome bowl 2 and the chair bowl 3 are each composed of two layers of fiberglass with one layer of soundproof material in between. The inner layer of fiberglass should have a glossy and reflective finish which, in combination with the light 8, creates a bright luminous atmosphere within the enclosed enclosure chair.
In addition to a "white light meditation" enclosure chair, the enclosure chair can be used as:
= A dry isolation tank See li___,'en.wil;ipedia.Ur,~%~ail:i; Serisor~ _ de~ri~~ttion tank for info on isolation tanks.
= A method of treatment for seasonal affective disorder.
See a#ft_c..ti\c. ciisoi-der- for info. on seasonal affective disorder.
= for contemplation as a private thought incubator or study centre = a potentially useful tool for psychiatric therapy Various changes and modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the claims. For example.
= Additional lights can placed on the rim of the chair bowl 3 or anywhere within the sphere.
= The inner layer of the dome bowl 2 can be made of any existing or novel translucent material allowing for any existing suitable lights to be placed behind it to create a diffuse glowing or luminescent effect in the interior.
= The inner layer of the dome bowl 2 can be a video screen for video or a projection screen video projections or laser light projection.
