Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil, des procédés et une installation qui permettent de réduire la pression dans une canalisation de transport telle qu'un pipeline de gaz naturel, et de capturer l'énergie rejetée qui en résulte. L'appareil précité comprend un convertisseur de flux en communication gazeuse avec une canalisation de transport, et un générateur électrique relié mécaniquement au convertisseur de flux afin de transformer l'énergie excédentaire qui résulte de la chute de pression en énergie électrique de manière qu'en cours d'emploi, l'énergie libérée par la chute de pression peut être capturée et utilisée pour produire des gaz tels que l'hydrogène.
