Abstract
Procédé pour traiter l'eau produite afin de générer de la vapeur sous haute pression. L'eau produite par les opérations de récupération du pétrole lourd est traitée d'abord en en retirant le pétrole et les graisses. L'eau d'alimentation est ensuite acidifiée et distillée à la vapeur afin d'en éliminer l'alcalinité, puis dissoute dans des gaz non condensables. L'eau produite prétraitée est alors acheminée vers un évaporateur. Jusqu'à 95 % ou même plus de l'eau produite prétraitée est évaporée pour donner 1) un distillat renfermant des quantités traces de solutés résiduels et (2) le produit de purge de l'évaporateur contenant en substance tous les solutés de l'eau produite acheminée à l'évaporateur. Le distillat peut être utilisé directement ou purifié pour en retirer les traces de solutés résiduels avant d'être acheminé à un générateur de vapeur. La génération de vapeur dans une chaudière préfabriquée, par exemple une chaudière à tubes d'eau possédant un réservoir de vapeur et un réservoir à boues, dont les parois sont refroidies à l'eau, produit de la vapeur sous haute pression de qualité 100 % pour utilisation au fond du puits.
