Abstract

La présente divulgation porte sur un filtre inédit de réseau de Bragg dans des fibres de guide d'ondes optique avec couplage en mode gaine supprimé, et sur la méthode de production associée. Cette structure de réseau inédite est induite dans le coeur et aussi dans la gaine de la fibre optique, quelle que soit la photosensibilité du coeur ou de la gaine au rayonnement actinique. Lesdits coeur et gaine de la fibre optique ne nécessitent pas de dopage pour prendre en charge le réseau. La méthode proposée comporte une source laser à impulsion de durée ultra courte. Le rayonnement électromagnétique fourni par le laser se propage jusqu'à un élément de diffraction placé à une distance spécifique par rapport au matériau cible. De cette manière, le rayonnement électromagnétique diffracté forme un diagramme d'interférence à deux pinceaux dont les valeurs de crête sont suffisamment intenses pour modifier l'indice de réfraction.
