Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de séparation de gaz, comprenant un stator et un rotor couplé rotatif audit stator, et au moins un amortisseur de surtension communiquant avec le stator. Ce stator comprend une surface de clapet de stator, et une pluralité de compartiments fonctionnels s'ouvrant vers ladite surface de clapet de stator. Le rotor comprend une surface de clapet de rotor communiquant avec la surface de clapet de stator, et une pluralité de trajets d'écoulement servant à recevoir un matériau adsorbant. Ledit rotor comprend également une pluralité d'ouvertures ménagées dans la surface du clapet de rotor, et communiquent avec les trajets d'écoulement de façon à exposer cycliquement lesdits trajets d'écoulement aux compartiments fonctionnels. Les amortisseurs de surtension sont configurés de manière à réduire les variations de pression dans les compartiments fonctionnels, et à maintenir chaque compartiment fonctionnel à une pluralité de niveaux de pression discrets. De ce fait, un écoulement gazeux sensiblement uniforme peut être maintenu par l'intermédiaire des compartiments fonctionnels et des les trajets d'écoulement sans avoir recours à mécanisme de compression multiétage.
