Abstract

Un réseau en anneau de fibre optique (100) comporte plusieurs noeuds interconnectés (104-1, 104-2, 104-3, 104-4), chaque paire de noeuds voisins étant interconnectée par une paire de liaisons optiques. Au moyen du multiplexage optique grossier, les données sont transmises dans les deux directions sur chaque liaison, une première longueur d'onde lambda 1 étant utilisée pour la transmission des données dans une première direction sur la liaison et une seconde longueur d'onde lambda 2 étant utilisée pour la transmission des données dans une seconde direction opposée sur la liaison. Les deux longueurs d'onde lambda 1 et lambda 2 diffèrent d'au moins 10 nm. Chaque train de données transmis sur la liaison optique (102) possède une largeur de bande d'au moins 2,5 Gbps. Par ailleurs, chaque train de données possède au moins deux trains logiques intégrés. Un multiplexeur de liaison (106) prévu au niveau de chaque noeud du réseau (100), possède une ou plusieurs cartes de liaison (140-1, 140-2) permettant de coupler le multiplexeur de liaison (106) aux dispositifs clients (159), et une ou plusieurs unités de multiplexeur (142-1, 142-2) permettant de coupler le multiplexeur de liaison (106) aux liaisons optiques. Chaque carte de liaison (140) comprend des mémoires d'images (152) capables de stocker des séquences d'image de canal de fibres optiques, transmises aux dispositifs client couplés à ladite carte de liaison (140), ou en provenance de ces derniers.
