Abstract
The invention aims to compensate for tolerances which occur in the interior construction of rail vehicles, using a floating floor construction and to allow a force-reducing relative displacement between the installation components which are permanently mounted onto the construction shell, such a s seats, back panels, cupboards etc. and the floor, whilst excluding the penetration of moisture between the permanently mounted attachments or installed sections and the floor, which can be displaced in relation to each other. This is achieved by a corner profile (12), located between the floor plate (5) and the attachments or installed sections (18) that are permanentl y mounted onto the construction shell. Said corner profile runs both longitudinally and transversally in relation to said attachments and section s, forming a bearing surface (11) for the floor covering. One limb (13) of said corner profile forms the edge of the floor plate (5) which is to receive the floor covering and the other limb (15) is positioned so that it can be displaced in a longitudinal and transverse direction, in relation to the construction shell. The horizontal tolerance compensation can be absorbed by a flexible seal (17) which is fixed to the limb (15) and lies against the construction shell.
Description
WO 00176823 1 Amended Pages - PCTIEP00105188 Connection for floor covering in vehicles, in particular, in rail vehicles This invention relates to a vehicle construction with a connection for a floor covering in vehicles, in particular railway vehicles for the transport of passengers, with a rigid bottom profile plate supported on longitudinal girders, on which bottom profile plate the floor construction and other installation parts can be installed, whereby the floor covering is supported over its entire surface on the floor plates and is elevated in a dished shape in the attachments and installations sections that are fastened to the bodywork of the vehicle construction, for example to cover instrument and equipment cabinets and side wall panels, seat frames and partitions of the vehicle.
DE 31 15 699 C2 describes a floor of a vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle, which has a floor support on which fastening rails are located to anchor the installation parts, and floor plates are supported between the fastening rails independently of the fastening rails. The floor support is realized with a continuous bearing surface, and the floor plates are supported over the entire surface on an insulation layer that is laid on the floor support.
The peripheral area of the laid floor covering is realized in a dished shape.
For that purpose, the longitudinal girders have a rounded bearing surface that runs in the longitudinal direction in the interior of the vehicle, which fits flush with the cover plates of the floor construction and forms a bearing surface that covers the entire surface, so that the floor covering that is laid on it is elevated on the long sides.
AMENDED PAGE
WO 00176823 2 Amended Pages - PCTIEP00105188 One disadvantage of this example of the prior art is that the floor construction is rigidly connected with the longitudinal girders, side walls etc. in particular by means of the floor covering. There is no provision for equalizing tolerances in the interior construction of railway vehicles.
The forces of the accessory parts are transmitted into the floor and exert a unilateral load on the floor.
The object of the invention is to make it possible by means of a floating floor construction to equalize tolerances in the interior construction in railway vehicles and to allow a relative movement between the installation parts such as seats, rear walls, equipment cabinets etc. that are firmly attached to the bodywork and the floor to reduce the stresses, whereby the penetration of moisture between the floor and the attachments and installations sections that are fastened to the bodywork and move relative to the floor can be reliably prevented.
The invention teaches that this object is accomplished by a vehicle construction of the type described above and with the characterizing features disclosed in Claim 1.
Advantageous developments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
The vehicle construction claimed by the invention makes it possible to realize the floor so that it is completely free-floating. This arrangement has the advantage that any stresses that occur between the components as a result of the relative movement of the floor in the longitudinal and transverse direction can be reduced. The forces exerted by adjacent components, in particular seats and equipment cabinets etc., are transmitted into the car body independently of the floor. The horizontal tolerance equalization is performed by a sealing profile which slides on the attachments AMENDED PAGE
WO 00/76823 3 Amended Pages - PCTlEP00105188 and installations sections fastened to the bodywork and simultaneously guarantees that no moisture, such as washing water, for example, can penetrate into adjacent assemblies or modules.
The vehicle construction with a connection for a floor covering taught by the invention is simple and compact. It is also easy to assemble and can thus be adapted flexibly to a wide variety of installation conditions.
One exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in greater detail below and is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which:
Figure 1 shows a floor connection of the prior art, and Figure 2 is a sectional drawing of the floor connection taught by the invention.
Figure 1 shows a floor connection of the prior art. Supported on the longitudinal girders 1 is a bottom profile plate 2, on which a floor construction consisting of an insulating layer 3, cover plates 4, floor plates 5 and 6, a PVC floor covering 7 and a floor carpet 8 are installed. In the side portion of the floor, as a transition to the side wall 9, there is a wooden frame 10. The longitudinal girder 1 has an inwardly directed rounded support surface 11 which runs flush with the floor covering 7. The floor covering 7 with the floor carpet 8 is elevated in a dished shape and rests on the bearing surface 11.
Thus the floor covering 7 with the floor carpet 8 has a rigid connection to the longitudinal girder 1 and permits no displacement in the longitudinal and transverse direction.
Likewise, no horizontal tolerance equalizations are possible.

WO 00176823 4 Amended Pages - PCTIEP00105188 Figure 2 shows the floor connection taught by the invention. The floor plates 5 that sit on the floor support element 19 have, on their ends, a hollow-chamber corner profile 12 which runs along the attachments or installed sections 18 fastened to the bodywork, whereby one leg 13 of the corner profile 12 is inserted into the floor plates 5 and is fastened by bolts or rivets. The other leg 15 projects vertically with respect to the leg 13 and with said leg 13 forms the inwardly directed rounded support surface 11 for the floor covering 7. The dish-shaped support surface 11 ends flush with the surface of the floor plates 5, so that the floor covering in the longitudinal direction is laid in an elevated fashion along the hollow chamber corner profile 12 and can be glued to the bearing surface 11. On its back side, the projecting leg 15 of the hollow chamber 12 has a groove 16 in which a flexible rubber seal 17 is inserted. The flexible rubber seal 17 provides a seal with respect to the attachments and installations 18 that are fastened to the bodywork. The leg 15 of the hollow chamber corner profile 12 is therefore movable in the longitudinal and transverse direction, and is capable of easily absorbing horizontal tolerances of the body work and interior construction, because it does not have any fixed connection with the adjacent attachments and installation sections 18 (modules or assemblies).
