Abstract
.cndot. A hanging spice/sauce dispenser system comprises a planer ferromagnetic plate and a container assembly. The planer ferromagnetic plate is securely mounted horizontally. The container assembly comprises a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is capable of magnetically attaching to the planer ferromagnetic plate, and is capable of detaching from the planer ferromagnetic plate when a force is applied to the container assembly. The container assembly may comprise a generally cylindrical container and a removable cap. The central portion of the removable cap is recessed from the peripheral portion so that the removable cap and the planer ferromagnetic plate form a self-seal in order to prevent air, moisture and the like from entering into the container. This invention relates to spice/sauce dispenser systems, and the principal use of the invention is for dispensing spice/sauce in a kitchen.
Description
Description Title = Magnetically Hanging Spice/Sauce Dispenser System Technical Field = This invention relates to spice/sauce dispenser systems, more particularly to a magnetically hanging spice/sauce dispenser system.
Background Art = There are many instances where it would be desirable to be able to save space in a kitchen by hanging spice/sauce containers, and to save time by eliminating the need for opening and closing the spice/sauce containers.
= A number of patents disclose various kinds of spice racks.
= U.S. Patent 5 368 203 discloses "Spice rack with magnetically held spice containers". The spice container is retained in or on the closure body by a magnetic force which is used to seal the spice container. However, the magnet and the seal are both located on the spice rack, so this prior art spice rack accommodates spice containers having only one shape and one size, and the spice container has limited single-row positions for hanging. In addition, the complicated spice rack structure is difficult to clean. Moreover, this prior art spice rack does not accommodate sauce containers because the top surface of the cap is convex, and the magnet on the spice rack is flat.
= These prior art arrangements do not have a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which has a planar ferromagnetic plate in order to magnetically hang a spice/sauce container of any shape and size at unlimited positions with a permanent magnet, and has a self-sealing cap for eliminating the need for opening and closing the spice/sauce container.
Description of the Invention = It is a primary object of the invention to provide a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which has a planar ferromagnetic plate in order to magnetically hang a spice/sauce container of any shape and any size at unlimited positions with a permanent magnet.
= It is another object of the invention to provide a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which has a self-sealing cap for eliminating the need for opening and closing the spice/sauce container.
= It is another object of the invention to provide a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which has a spice/sauce container that can be attached with one hand, and be removed with one hand.
= It is another object of the invention to provide a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which is easy to clean.
= It is another object of the invention to provide a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system which has a spice/sauce container that is compatible with conventional spice containers or conventional sauce containers.
= A hanging spice/sauce dispenser system comprises a planer ferromagnetic plate and a container assembly.
Brief Description of the Figures in the Drawings = In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention:
o Figure 1 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the hanging spice/sauce dispenser system according to the invention;
o Figure 2 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the hanging spice/sauce dispenser system according to the invention;
o Figure 3 is a side view of the hanging spice/sauce dispenser system;
o Figure 4 is a bottom view of the planer ferromagnetic plate;
o Figure 5 is a top view of the container assembly; and o Figure 6 is an exploded sectional view of the invention along line I-I of Figure 1 and Figure 2.
Modes for Carrying Out the Invention = In one embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 1, a hanging spice/sauce dispenser system comprises a planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 made of materials such as steel, and a container assembly 2-0 for storing spices, sauces or the like (liquid, powder, coffee, tea, etc.).
= The planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 has a front portion, a back portion, a top surface and a bottom surface. The planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 is securely mounted horizontally on a kitchen cabinet.
= The container assembly 2-0 has an open top portion, and comprises a permanent magnet 2-1 securely attached to the top portion.
= The permanent magnet 2-1 of the container assembly 2-0 is capable of magnetically attaching to the bottom surface of the planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 at unlimited positions. The container assembly 2-0 is capable of detaching from the bottom surface of the planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 when a force is applied to the container assembly 2-0 in sliding movement or in bending movement.
= The planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 may be coated with a paint, or be plated with a metal.
= The front portion of the planer ferromagnetic plate 1-0 may be bent to form a hook in order to hook onto a front portion of a kitchen cabinet or a shelf, as shown in Figure 3.
