Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'appliquer un revêtement sur une surface métallique, par conversion à base de phosphate. Ce procédé consiste a) à produire une solution aqueuse de traitement acide contenant des ions de phosphate, des cations de zinc, et des cations de nickel (II), ladite solution possédant entre environ 2,1 et 6,0 points d'acide libre; et b) à mettre en contact ladite surface métallique avec la solution de traitement pendant une durée et à une température suffisantes pour former un revêtement de conversion à base de phosphate sur la surface métallique. L'invention concerne également un objet métallique recouvert à l'aide de ce procédé, le pourcentage grammes/atomes de nickel par rapport à la quantité totale de nickel et de zinc contenue dans le revêtement étant environ entre 10 et 13.
