Abstract
L'invention concerne des cellules d'une plante hybride auto-compatible, dont les parents sont un parent femelle homozygote auto-incompatible et un parent mâle homozygote et dont le génome nucléaire contient un vecteur comprenant une séquence d'ADN qui, lorsqu'elle est exprimée dans une cellule, confère un auto-incompatibilité à la plante, et un promoteur capable de diriger l'expression de la séquence d'ADN dans la cellule. L'invention porte également sur le vecteur, sur une plante comprenant les cellules, sur une plante transformée à l'aide dudit vecteur, sur les graines desdites plantes et sur un procédé permettant de conférer le phénotype auto-compatible à la progéniture du parent femelle auto-incompatible et du parent mâle auto-compatible. Elle se rapporte enfin à un système de régulation d'auto-pollinisation pour la production ou la sélection de graines hybrides, qui, grâce à un transgène de suppression permettant d'éliminer le phénotype d'auto-incompatibilité dans des hybrides, peut augmenter le rendement.
