Abstract
The golf club scrubber is a device that clamps on to a pipe and holds two brushes at convenient angles and height so that golfers can clean (scrub) their golf club faces on them. Water and a cleaning solution is provided for cleaning the clubs by way of spray bottles and/or the use of a pail. The person cleaning the golf club first wets the face of the club using spray bottles or by dipping it into a pail of water and then scrubs the club face against the angled brush or brushes. The dirty water drips from the brush on to the ground (crushed rock) past the pail of clean water. This process can be repeated as many times as required to clean the club head, then a final spray rinse can be given before the club head is dried.
Description
Specification This invention relates to a way of holding brushes at a convenient angle so a golfer can easily scrub clean his golf club face.
This method improves on previously used methods of cleaning golf club heads, in that both irons and iron woods can easily be cleaned at this station. Clean water is always used for every cleaning. The golfer does not have to stoop or bend to clean his/her clubs.
It is a more convenient and easily accessed method of cleaning golf club heads.
The support for the brushes can be seen in figure number one. It is 5.75 inches (14.60 cm) high. The width at the base is 11.5 inches (29.21 cm). The top is 4.75 inches (12.07 cm) The angle of the brush on the left is 60 degrees. The angle of the brush on the right is 120 degrees.
A brush about to be mounted on the support can be seen in figure number two.
The pad faces measure 6.5 " x 2.5" (16.51 cm x 6.35 cm) with a thickness of 3/4 of an inch (1.90 cm) The brushes are secured to the pads with a single bolt.
The golf club scrubber is designed for installation on a two inch (5.1 cm) pipe, or to be mounted on a wooden post (using an adapter) not less then four inches (10.16 cm) in width. See figure number three for adapter for wooden post.
