Abstract
Procédé, carte et article manufacturé destinés à la prospection des gisements d'hydrocarbures. Selon un mode de réalisation, le procédé comporte les étapes suivantes: accès à des données sismiques en trois dimensions; division des données en une série de cellules tridimensionnelles relativement petites; détermination, pour chaque cellule de la similarité, du pendage et du pendage/azimut des traces sismiques renfermées; et affichage du pendage, du pendage/azimut et de la similarité de chaque cellule sous forme d'une carte à deux dimensions. Selon l'un des modes de réalisation, la similarité est une fonction du temps, du nombre de traces sismiques dans la cellule et du pendage apparent ainsi que du pendage/azimut apparent des traces dans la cellule. On détermine la similarité d'une cellule en réalisant plusieurs mesures de la similarité des traces à l'intérieur de la cellule et en sélectionnant la plus importante de ces mesures. En outre, le pendage apparent ainsi que le pendage/azimut apparent correspondant à la mesure la plus importante de la similarité dans une cellule sont réputées constituer des estimations du pendange véritable et du pendange/azimut véritable des traces contenues. Une carte en couleur, caractérisée par la nuance, la saturation et la brillance, sert à représenter la similarité, le pendage/azimut vrai et le pendage vrai dans chaque cellule; le pendage/azimut vrai est représenté sur l'échelle des nuances, le pendage vrai est représenté sur l'échelle de saturation, tandis que la plus grande mesure de la similarité est représentée sur l'échelle de brillance de la carte couleur.
