Abstract

The structure of the T. reesei xln1 and xln2 genes and the primary structure of proteins are described. Enzyme preparations enriched in hemicellulase enzymes are described. Such enzyme preparations may also be partially or completely deficient in cellulose degrading activity. Such preparations may be utilized in a crude, unpurified form and are especially useful in the production of pulp and paper.
