Abstract

ATUAçãO DE ARRANJOS MICROFLUìDICOS PARALELOS. é descrito um atuador melhorado para uso em um sistema de classificação de partículas microfluídicas que utiliza um esquema de empacotamento defasado para uma pluralidade de atuadores usada para desviar seletivamente uma partícula em um canal de classificação associado de uma corrente de canais. Um bloco do atuador pode ser provido para alojar um arranjo bidimensional de atuadores, cada qual configurado para se alinhar com um orifício de atuação em um chip de classificação associado contendo uma pluralidade de canais de classificação. O bloco do atuador pode incluir um dispositivo de tensionamento incorporado para pré-tensionar cada atuador alojado pelo bloco. Um atuador compreendendo uma pilha piezoelétrica pode empregar conexão elétrica a base de contato, em vez de arames solados, para melhorar a densidade de empacotamento.
