Abstract

IMPLANTE POLIMéRICO E SEU PROCESSO DE PREPARAçãO. Implante polimérico, obtido a partir de uma fonte renovável, compreendendo um corpo formado por pelo menos um polímero biodegradável selecionado do grupo consistindo de Polihidroxialcanoatos (PHAs) e de seus copolímeros, dito corpo incorporando, em sua micro-estrutura, um ingrediente ativo em quantidade suficiente para controlar pelo menos um ciclo estral de animais mamíferos. A invenção refere-se ainda a um processo para preparação do implante polimérico, que compreende as etapas de: misturar progesterona ou progestágenos; pelo menos um polímero do grupo de PHAs, um aditivo polimérico definido por poli (<sym>-caprolactona), e pelo menos um aditivo dispersante e ou solvente, para obter uma solução coloidal; evaporar o solvente da solução coloidal, e formar uma pasta com os componentes nela dispersos; secar a pasta para remoção dos solventes residuais e controle da granulometria do compósito polimérico; extrudar o compósito polimérico e moldá-lo em um corpo de implante.
