Abstract
CONJUNTO DE MANCAL DE EMPUXO E CONJUNTO DE MOTOR PARA USO EM UM VEìCULO. A presente invenção provê um conjunto de mancal de empuxo tendo apenas três flanges de empuxo no total (a porção do conjunto de mancal de empuxo compreende um mancal principal tendo uma carcaça de mancal arqueada com uma superfície interna cóncava e uma superfície externa convexa. Uma arruela de empuxo tendo características hidrodinâmicas confina com uma das bordas do mancal principal e se estende radialmente para fora da sua superfície externa formando urna superfície de empuxo. A outra das bordas do mancal principal é livre de um flange. A borda livre do mancal principal é, de preferência, espaçada para dentro das outras superfícies de empuxo e a borda tem uma largura substancialmente mais estreita do que as outras superfícies de empino. A outra porção do conjunto pode incluir um mancal de empuxo tradicional tendo um flange de empuxo com características hidrodinâmicas a outro flange de empino livre de características hidrodinâmicas, ambos se estendendo radialmente para fora da mesma ou pode incluir outro mancal principal confinando com um par de arruelas de empuxo, uma tendo características hidrodinâmicas e outra livre de características hidrodinâmicas, se estendendo radialmente para fora do outro mancal principal. Em qualquer configuração, o Range de empino ou amida de empuxo que é livre de características hidrodinâmicas é oposto à arruela de empuxo tendo características hidrodinâmicas do mancal principal.
