Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE N-FOSFONO-METILGLICINA E DERIVADOS DESTE". A presente invenção refere-se a N-fosfonometilaminas, que são produzidas por reação de um substrato de amina com um ácido halometilfosfónico ou um sal deste, um ácido hidroximetilfosfónico ou um sal deste, ou um dímero, trímero ou oligómero de auto-éster desidratado de ácido hidroximetilfosfónico. Entre os produtos que podem ser preparados de acordo com o processo estão os ácidos N-fosfonometilaminocarboxílico tais como (por exernplo) glifosato, N-fosfonometilaminoalcanóis tais como (por exemplo), ácido hidroxietilaminometilfosfónico, e ácidos N-acilaminometilfosfónicos tal como (por exemplo) ácido N-carbamilaminometilfosfónico. Certas reações são conduzidas com um excesso substancial de reagente de amina a fim de controlar a conversão ao mesmo tempo que evitando a formação excessiva de sub-produtos de bis(N-fosfonometil)amina. Outras reações empregam um substrato de amina secundária (tal como ácido iminodiacético) e podem ser conduzidas em relações equimolares substanciais de ácido halometilaminometilfosfónico ou ácido hidroxiaminometilfosfónico para reagente de amina secundária sem formação significante de sub-produtos de bis(fosfonometil)amina. é também descrito um processo para a preparação de dímeros, trímeros e oligómeros de auto-éster de ácido hidroximetilfosfónico por desidratação azeotrópica.
