Abstract
"ENRIJECEDORES DE CONTATO PARA ENVOLTóRIOS ESTRUTURAIS". Um membro de enrijecimento interno de configurações variadas em que os elementos de enrijecimento suportam o envoltório usando uma trajetória de carga de compressão somente, é revelado. Na concretização preferida, o elemento de enrijecimento tem uma borda periférica que é adaptada para ser ajustada por prensagem em contato com o envoltório. O membro de enrijecimento pode ser mantido no lugar por vários dispositivos de retenção. Outra configuração é uma nervura em deslizamento tendo um flange com um canal periférico no qual um material de carga é disposto. A nervura é inserida em uma viga de caixa estrutural montada, e o material de carga é usado para preencher quaisquer folgas entre a nervura em deslizamento e a superfície interior da viga de caixa estrutural. O material de carga é preferivelmente um material expansível, tal como um material tipo espuma expansível. Contudo, em situações onde uma ranhura em deslizamento forma uma ranhura estrutural primária, o material de carga é preferivelmente um adesivo estrutural ou material de cunha líquido. Um adesivo sólido ou carga não se trituraria sob as forças de prendimento a partir dos prendedores ou parafusos em fixações de ajustes localizadas.
