A composição consiste essencialmente de: (a) um teor terapeuticamente eficaz furoato de mometasona, (b) um ácido policrilico levemente reticulado, farmaceutimente aceitável, compatível com o composto, (c) uma base farmaceuticamente aceitável para ajustar o pH, (d) pelo menos um solvente miscível em água, (e) opcinalmente um conservante ou uma combinação de mais do que um conservante, (f) pelo menos um tensoativo em combinação com uma fase oleosa, suficiente para formar uma loção, e (g) água. A composição de baixa viscosidade possuí a vantagem de ser administrada mais acuradamente quando combinada com um recipiente que administra a composição em gotas.COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF SKIN DISORDERS IN A HUMAN BEING. A composition having a viscosity of less than 15,000 cP is provided for treating a skin disorder in a human. The composition essentially consists of: (a) a therapeutically effective mometasone furoate content, (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable, slightly cross-linked polycrylic acid compatible with the compound, (c) a pharmaceutically acceptable base for adjusting the pH, (d) at least at least one water-miscible solvent, (e) optionally a preservative or a combination of more than one preservative, (f) at least one surfactant in combination with an oil phase sufficient to form a lotion, and (g) water. The low viscosity composition has the advantage that it is administered more accurately when combined with a container that delivers the droplet composition.
