Abstract

<B>PORTADOR PARA CATALISADOR PARA USO NA PRODUçãO DE óXIDO DE ETILENO, CATALISADOR PARA USO NA PRODUçãO DE óXIDO DE ETILENO E MéTODO PARA PRODUçãO DE óXIDO DE ETILENO <D> São propiciados um portador, o qual permite a preparação de um catalisador que possui um excelente desempenho catalítico e é usado para a produção de óxido de etileno, um catalizador, obtido pelo uso deste portador, dotado de excelente desempenho catalítico e usado para a produção de óxido de etileno, e um método para a produção de óxido de etileno pelo uso do catalisador. O portador é obtido misturando-se <244>-alumina, que tem um teor de metal alcalino na faixa de 1 - 70 mmols/kg (<244>-alumina), com um composto de alumínio, um composto de silício e um composto de metal alcalino, e calcinando a mistura produzida. O portador - que tem um teor de alumínio, quando reduzido a Al, na faixa de 0 - 3 mols/kg de portador, um teor de composto de silício, quando reduzido a Si, na faixa de 0,001-2 mols/kg de portador e um teor de metal alcalino, quando reduzido a metal alcalino, na faixa de 0,01-2 mols/kg de portador - é usado para a deposição de um catalisador para uso na produção de óxido de etileno.
