Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE BUTANO-1,4-DIOL, GAMA-BUTIROLACTONA E TETRAIDROFURANO"<D>. é descrito um processo para a produção de butano-1,4-diol, <sym>-butirolactona e/ou tetraidrofurano. Uma corrente de vapor contendo anidrido maléico, água e óxidos de carbono é posta em contato em uma zona de absorção com um éster de alta ebulição como solvente para formar uma solução de anidrido maléico no éster de alta ebulição, que tenha um ponto de ebulição na pressão atmosférica de pelo menos cerca de 30° C acima do de anidrido maléico e que seja selecionada de di-(C~ 1~ a C~ 4~ alquil)ésteres de ácidos dicarboxílicos de alquila contendo até 13 átomos de carbono, mono- e di-(C~ 10~ a C~ 18~ alquil)ésteres de ácido maléico, ácido fumárico, ácido succínico e suas misturas, (C~ 1~ a C~ 4~ alquil)ésteres de ácidos naflateno-carboxílicos, tri (C~ 1~ a C~ 4~ alquil)ésteres de ácidos tricarboxílicos aromáticos e di-(C~ 1~ a C~ 4~ alquil)ésteres de ácido isoftálico. O anidrido maléico na solução é retirado com uma corrente gasosa contendo hidrogênio. daí formando uma corrente de vapor compreendendo hidrogênio e anidrido maléico que é posto em contato em uma zona de hidrogenação com um catalisador de hidrogenação heterogêneo para converter o anidrido maléico em pelo menos um composto C~ 4~ selecionado de butano-1,4-diol, <sym>-butirolactona e tetraidrofurano.
