The use of 10-40% by weight of diluents such as vinyl ethers (such as CHVE, DVE) and acrylates (HDDA, TPGDA, DPGDA) together with cycloaliphatic epoxide greatly intensifies the effect of porous silica and allows the preparation of coatings semi-gloss and matte cationic or hybrid curing (cationic curing / free radicals) without detriment to other desired film properties.
