Abstract

''PROCESSO PARA SE OBTER UMA PLANTA COM CARACTERìSTICAS DE CRESCIMENTO ALTERADAS OU ARQUITETURA ALTERADA, GENE QUIMéRICO, CéLULA DE PLANTA, PLANTA, SEMENTE DA MESMA, FRAGMENTO ISOLADO DE DNA, E, USOS DE UMA PROTEìNA QUE CONTROLA A DIVISãO CELULAR, E DE UM DNA QUE CODIFICA A MESMA''. Um processo é fornecido para modificar o crescimento ou a arquitetura de vegetais alterando-se o nível ou o nível funcional de uma proteína que controla a divisão celular, preferivelmente uma proteína de controle da divisão celular que liga ou fosforila as proteínas semelhantes à retinoblassoma, mais preferivelmente uma ciclina, particularmente uma ciclina do tipo D dentro das células de uma planta. Também são fornecidos genes quiméricos que compreendem uma região transcrita de DNA, que codifica um RNA ou uma proteína, que quando expressada aumenta ou diminui o nível ou o nível funcional de uma proteína que controla a divisão celular e células de planta e vegetais que expressam tais genes quiméricos.
