Abstract
O processo fornece óleo refinado e desodorizado, em particular, óleo de palma onde o carotene e a vitamina E, contido no óleo alimentar é substancialmente retido no óleo processado.<B> "REFINING OF EDIBLE OIL RICH IN NATURAL CAROTENE AND VITAMIN AND" <D>. The invention discloses a process for the production of deodorized and refined oil, rich in carotene by subjecting the oil to a pressure of less than 0.006 mbar and a temperature of less than 200 ° C and where the process includes the stages of oil distillation in a short-stroke distillator at a temperature between 160 ° C and 290 ° C and a pressure between 0.003 and 0.080 mbar and removal of free fatty acids in the oil by condensation within the distiller. Free fatty acids are removed by subjecting the mixture of oil and fatty acids to an internal condenser system, operating at a temperature above the melting point of the oil's fatty acids. The process provides refined and deodorized oil, in particular palm oil where the carotene and vitamin E contained in the cooking oil is substantially retained in the processed oil.
