Trata-se de um rotor para uma máquina de relutância, sendo que o dito rotor compreende um elemento magnético macio que tem o formato cilíndrico. O dito elemento magnético macio tem reentrâncias para formar barreiras de fluxo, sendo que uma ou mais barreiras de fluxo são pelo menos parcialmente preenchidas com um material de carga, e em que o material de carga das ditas barreiras de fluxo se estende até a periferia de rotor e forma parte da periferia de rotor.
