Abstract
a presente invenção é dirigida aos peptídeos que não ocorrem naturalmen-te contendo uma sequência de aminoácidos de penetração da membrana e ainda pelo menos uma porção policatiônica ou a sequência de peptídeo. os peptídeos são adequados para utilização na liberação de uma carga para o interior de uma célula. a carga adequada inclui moléculas de ácido nucleico (incluindo dna, rna ou pna), polipeptídeos, ou outras moléculas biologicamente ativas. a presente inven-ção é ainda direcionada aos complexos de transfecção contendo os peptídeos que não ocorrem naturalmente da presente invenção em associação não covalente com pelo menos um lipídeo catiônico e uma carga a ser liberada no interior de uma célu-la. a invenção se refere ainda aos métodos para a preparação e utilização dos pep-tídeos que não ocorrem naturalmente para a formação de complexos de transfecção e a liberação de uma carga para o interior de uma célula em cultura, um animal ou um ser humano. a invenção também se refere às composições e kits úteis para a transfecção de células.
