Abstract

"MéTODOS PARA INIBIR O CRESCIMENTO CANCEROSO DE UMA CéLULA, PARA INDUZIR MORTE CELULAR DE UMA CéLULA DE CâNCER, PARA TRATAR OU PREVENIR CâNCER EM UM INDIVìDUO E PARA IDENTIFICAR UM AGENTE QUE INIBE O CRESCIMENTO CANCEROSO DE UMA CéLULA, AGENTE, E, ANTICORPO EPHB4 PURIFICADO". A presente invenção provê métodos para inibir o crescimento canceroso de uma célula usando um anticorpo ou uma porção de ligação a antígeno do mesmo que se liga a um epítopo do polipeptídeo EphB4. Também são providos anticorpos purificados de EphB4 A invenção também provê métodos para prevenir ou tratar câncer. A invenção também refere-se a métodos de identificar agentes que podem inibir o crescimento canceroso de uma célula.
