Abstract

"CABO óPTICO". Cabo óptico, em particular para conexões submarinas, compreendendo uma composição de preenchimento em resina bloqueadora de água com dureza reduzida disposta nos interstícios (105). De preferência, referida composição de resina é uma resina de poliuretano compreendendo menos do que cerca de 35% em peso de uma mistura de poliol/poliisocianato e de cerca de 60% a cerca de 90% em peso de um óleo mineral. De preferência, a referida resina de poliuretano compreende adicionou-se menos do que cerca de 12% em peso de uma agente de acoplamento. O cabo compreende um núcleo óptico (100) envolvido por pluralidade de fios metálicos (106), uma bainha polimérica exterior (108), o núcleo óptico (100) do tipo "apertado", em que uma pluralidade de fibras ópticas (103) encontra-se embutida numa matriz polimérica (102) disposta em torno de um elemento de resistência (1O1).
