Abstract

"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA MAPEAR DISPOSITIVOS ELETRôNICOS ACOPLADOS A UMA REDE SEM FIO". Um usuário seleciona uma opção de mapeamento de rede sem fio em seu computador e é apresentado com uma lista de nomes de dispositivos eletrônicos acoplados à rede sem fio à qual o computador está acoplado. Quando um dos dispositivos eletrônicos transmitir um sinal de identificação sem fio ao computador, uma dica visual identificará o nome padrão associado com o dispositivo eletrônico na lista. O usuário poderá então dar ao nome padrão um novo nome local. O usuário poderá também optar por transmitir um sinal de identificação sem fio de sua propriedade para um ou mais dos dispositivos eletrônicos acoplados à rede sem fio. Alternativamente, o usuário poderá selecionar um ou mais dispositivos eletrônicos originários da lista, e atingir os dispositivos eletrônicos através do envio de um sinal de ativação, fazendo com que os dispositivos eletrônicos se identifiquem com o uso de uma dica de áudio ou visual.
