Abstract

"PLANTA TRANSGêNICA DE ALGODãO, SEMENTE E MéTODOS DE AUMENTAR O RENDIMENTO DE PLANTA DE ALGODãO, A QUALIDADE DE FIBRA DE ALGODãO PRODUZIDA A PARTIR DE UMA PLANTA DE ALGODãO, A TOLERâNCIA DE EFICIêNCIA FOTOSSINTéTICA A TEMPERATURAS NOTURNAS FRIAS E O RENDIMENTO DE COLHEITA DE FIBRA E DE SEMENTE PROVENIENTE DE UMA PLANTA, DE REGULAR A RAZãO DE CELULOSE PARA OUTROS COMPONENTES EM PESO SECO DE UMA PLANTA E A ESPESSURA DE PAREDES CELULARES EM UMA PLANTA E DE ALTERAR A QUALIDADE DE FIBRA ISOLADA A PARTIR DE UMA PLANTA". A presente invenção refere-se a um método de controle de síntese de celulose em plantas a fim de otimizar o nível de produção e a qualidade dos produtos derivados da planta. Em particular, a presente invenção proporciona uma planta transgênica de algodão que apresenta rendimentos maiores de fibra de algodão e de semente. A invenção também proporciona métodos para aumentar a qualidade da fibra de algodão produzida por uma planta de algodão. A invenção também proporciona métodos gerais de mudança da razão de celulose para outros componentes em peso seco da planta, para modificar a espessura das paredes celulares, para aumentar o rendimento e a mudança da qualidade de outras fibras de planta, para aumentar o rendimento de semente, e para aumentar a tolerância da eficiência fotossintética a temperaturas noturnas frias.
