"MéTODO E APARELHAGEM PARA MONITORAçãO DA PRESSãO NA SUCçãO DE UMA BOMBA DE CAVIDADES PROGRESSIVAS". A invenção consiste em um método para monitorar a pressão na sucção de uma bomba de cavidades progressivas (4) e correspondente dispositivo (9) sensor. O método baseia-se na medição da carga axial exercida pela coluna de hastes (5) sobre o cabeçote de acionamento da BCP (4). Dito dispositivo (9), instalado na superfície, dispõe, em seu interior, de uma célula de carga (11). Sendo a pressão na sucção da bomba (4) relacionada com a carga axial da coluna de hastes (5), a informação fornecida pela célula de carga (11) permitirá que sejam tomadas providências para evitar-se que a bomba (4) venha a funcionar em vazio."METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRESSURE MONITORING IN THE SUCTION OF A PROGRESSIVE CAVITIES PUMP". The invention consists of a method for monitoring the suction pressure of a progressive cavity pump (4) and corresponding sensor device (9). The method is based on the measurement of the axial load exerted by the rod column (5) on the BCP drive head (4). Said device (9), installed on the surface, has, inside, a load cell (11). Since the suction pressure of the pump (4) is related to the axial load of the stem column (5), the information provided by the load cell (11) will allow steps to be taken to prevent the pump (4) from coming to run empty.
