patente de invenção: <b>"método de esterilização"<d>. a presente invenção proporciona um processo para a esterilização de um dispositivo médico, e de forma preferida o conteúdo do referido recipiente selado que compreende o referido dispositivo médico, que compreende a etapa de expor o referido dispositivo médico a radiação ultravioleta com o que o valor d do <mu>bacillus stearothermophilus<mv> (atcc 7953) é de pelo menos 3,9 (mj/cm²) de radiação ultravioleta na faixa de 240 - 280 nm ao esporo. ademais, a presente invenção proporciona um processo de esterilização de dispositivo médico que compreende a etapa de submeter o referido dispositivo médico a radiação ultravioleta onde a densidade de energia mínima total da referida variação ultravioleta na faixa de 240 - 280 nm que alcança os microorganismos presentes no referido dispositivo médico é de pelo menos 18 mj/cm². a presente invenção adicionalmente proporciona um aparelho para o envio de radiação uv a um dispositivo médico para a esterilização que compreende uma fonte de radiação e um refletor para a referida fonte de radiação onde o referido refletor orienta a radiação a partir da fonte de radiação de modo que pelo menos 3 j/cm² de radiação de espectro amplo alcança a área de tratamento da qual pelo menos 50 mj/cm² da referida radiação é a radiação uv na faixa de 240 - 280 nm para uma área de tratamento para o referido dispositivo médico, a referida área de tratamento encontra-se no plano focal do referido refletor. a presente invenção proporciona um processo e um aparelho no qual a esterilização pode ser alcançada em menos de 20 segundos, de forma preferida em menos de 15 segundos, de forma ainda mais preferida em menos de 5 segundos. o processo e o aparelho são eficientes e contínuos.
