Abstract
The method is applicable in foundry engineering for the production of aluminium alloy castings. The castings, produced following this method, do not contain gas pits on the surface or any carbon inclusions. Their density is improved. The method applies incremental isostatic pressure on the mould after burning the fusible model, the acceleration rate being such that it creates a sub-pressure on the interfacial surface between the metal melt and the moulding mixture. The sub-pressure reaches a value determined by two limit figures and then it decreases, while the applied pressure increases up to a maximum value, where it is maintained until complete crystallisation of the produced casting.
