Abstract

The energy-saving lamp is used in the lighting engineering, residentially, in the mining industry, for equipping sailing vessels and for road signalling. It is impact resistant, can be connected to standard bulb-holders and, therefore, requires no changes in the existing installations. The lamp burns out gradually, as the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are not inter-dependent: the burning out of one of them has no effect on the operation of the remaining ones. When there is a minimum electric power consumption a strong light flux is produced and the heat losses are minimal. The energy-saving lamp with directed lighting comprises a cap with thread (1), connected to the electric mains and having a step-down transformer (2). To the secondary winding of the transformer a rectifier (3) is connected at the output of which a capacitor (4) is coupled, and in parallel groups of resistors (5) and LEDs (6) are connected in series to them.
