Abstract

The method is used in the furniture industry, in particular for the manufacture of office furniture and furniture for interior spaces of public and residential buildings. The module furniture pieces are of light-weight design and high mechanical strength, as their supporting structure is made of shell-type furniture components, fitted together by solid dismantling or non-dismantling connection. The method includes the making of furniture elements of the type leg and supporting beam, each individual component being made by cutting sheet material by unbending. After its cutting, the unfolded part is folded, and the furniture element is produced, and the thus made furniture components are interconnected, forming a closed furniture module. The sheet material used is triple-layered, and after its cutting part of the sheet material is removed in depth in order to produce slits, and by folding in the place of the slits, internal and external edges are formed. By gluing the end external edges and the slits, the shell-type furniture component is ready for connection. The pre-chamfered shell-type furniture components (1, 2, 3) are fitted on the fixing equipment (4) and are glued in such a way that their connection is effected along their external edges in a point, thus forming a shell-type furniture module comprising horizontal supporting beams (2, 3) and leg (1). 10 claims, 22 figures
