Abstract

The heat exchanger is intended for recovering heat from the flue gas of a domestic stove. It consists of a rectangular box which is arranged behind the stove and connected between the stove outlet and the flue inlet. The box contains tubes which are arranged in a zig-zag pattern and connect with the interior of the room so that air passing through the tubes is heated before re-entering the room. The box may be in steel, e.g. measuring 400 x 170 x 600 mm whilst the tubes may be 32 mm diameter in aluminium. FL.
