Abstract

Medicament contg. as active ingredient pyridoxine-alpha-ketoglutarate of formula I. Detoxicant, liver-protecting, neurasthenic, eutrophic and vitaminising agent. For oral, parenteral and rectal administration in appropriate vehicles. By reaction of alpha-ketoglutaric acid and pyridoxine, pref. in the presence of small amts. of acetone-diMe-acetal in MeOH soln. The product is pptd. by adding i-propyl ether.
