Abstract

Allergies, which may or may not be induced by reagin, are prophylactically treated by administration of a cpd. of formula (I): (where Y is cyclohexyl or phenyl; X is H, halogen, CF3, OH, 1-8C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, CN, NH2, SH or S-1-8 C alkyl, and R is H, 1-8C alkyl a pharmacologically acceptable cation) in association with a pharmaceutical carrier. (I) are useful in the treatment of bronchitic asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, hay fever, urticaria and auto-immune diseases, and may be administered orally, parenterally or by inhalation, in doses of 5-1000mg. 1-4 times daily.
