Title cpds are of formula (I): where n=0-2; X=alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, aralkyl, hal, CN, CO2H CO2 alkyl, CO2 aryl, CO2 aralkyl, OC(O)alkyl, OC(O)aryl, OH, Oalkyl, Oaryl, Oalkoxyalkyl, Oalkenyl, Oaralkyl, Salkyl, SOalkyl, SO2alkyl, NH2, NH alkyl, Nalkyl2, CONH2, CONH alkyl, CONalkyl2 NO2, =O, CHO, COalkyl, haloalkyl, SCN, NHOH, NHOalkyl N2H4, or dialkylhydrazino; Y=H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, hal, CN, CONH2, CONalkyl, COn alkyl2, NO2, CHO, COalkyl, or CO2alkyl, R=H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl, COalkyl, COaryl, CO2alkyl, CONH2, CONH alkyl, CONalkyl2, Oalkyl, NO2, SCN, hal, alkoxyalkyl, cyanoalkyl, carboalkoxyalkyl, -CH2)mOCOalkyl, (CH2)n, CO2 alkyl, (CH2)m CONH2, (CH2)2CONH alkyl, (CH2)m CON alkyl2; m=1 or 2; and alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl residues have is not >6C; and include equimolar complexes of I (Y=R=H, n=0) and alky alkanesulphonic acids.
