Abstract
The mixture is 90-10wt.% of a block copolymer A-B-A where A is a polymer of a monovinyl substd. aromatic hydrocarbon (styrene) and B is a polymer of a conjugated diene (butadiene) with 10-90wt.% of an ethylene copolymer contg. 5-50wt.% of an acrylic or methacrylic acid ester. Polymer A has mol wt. 7,500-100,000, B has mol. wt. 25,000-1,000,000 and the ethylene copolymer contains n- or t-butyl acrylate and has melt index of 0.1-50g/10min. The mouldings have better mechanical properties and can tolerate reduced wall thickness e.g. for packing, gaskets, joints.
