Abstract
Esters are of formula where R2 and R3 are unsubstd. lower alkyl, are prepd. by reacting 1 mole phosphonitrile halide trimer with 3 moles of a 1,3-propanediol of formula: R2 and R3 are esp. both CH3 or C2H5 give flame resistance to plastics and resins.
