L'invention concerne un coffret rectangulaire en matière thermoplastique, pour appareillage d'installation protégé contre l'accès de l'eau, coffret où le couvercle est retenu sur la partie inférieure du coffret par un encliquetage réalisé grâce à l'élas- ticité du matériau constitutif. Dans les coffrets connus de cette sorte, l'encliquetage entre le couvercle et la partie inférieure du coffret est effectué dans les angles du rectangle.

   On prévoit à cette fin de petits crans en saillie sur la face extérieure du coffret, qui s'engagent dans de petites cavités formées sur la face intérieure du rebord du couvercle, qui déborde sur la partie inférieure du coffret. il est vrai que, dans un tel encliquetage, la tenue du couvercle est garantie à 1'encontre d'efforts élevés   tendant à le retirer ; contre, il est très difficile de dégager la¯

 le couvercle, même en utilisant un outil, en raison du coincement du coffret qui agit dans le sens diagonal, Lorsque lematériau constitutif est souple, on prévoit sur la face inférieure du cou- vercle, à proximité des points d'encliquetage, des trous borgnes permettant l'introduction d'un outil.

   Après introduction de l'outil, on peut étirer le couvercle dans l'angle considéré jus- qu'au dégagement de l'encliquetage. il en résulte un risque de rupture du rebord du couvercle, qui déborde sur la partie infé- rieure du coffret, plus particulièrement les trous borgnes prévus sur la face antérieure du couvercle sont inesthétiques ;   part, ils ont une tendance à s'encrasser.   



   Suivant l'invention, le coffret rectangulaire, cons- titué en un matériau thermoplastique, est formé comme suit : Sur les côtés opposés du rectangle, à une certaine distance des angles, la face intérieure du rebord du couvercle, qui déborde sur la partie inférieure du coffret, présente des crans en sail- lie qui s'engagent dans des cavités à crans de la face extérieure du coffret, ces cavités étant accessibles, à l'état encliqueté, en vue de l'introduction d'un outil destiné à dégager l'enclique- tage. Dans le coffret suivant l'invention, la tenue du couvercle sur la partie inférieure du coffret est également garantie à l'en- contre des forces tendant à le retirer; cependant, le couvercle peut être aisément séparé de la partie   inférieu-re   du coffret à l'aide d'un outil.

   Les crans en saillie et les cavités à crans entrent davantage en prise mutuelle. Etant donné l'élasticité du rebord du couvercle aux endroits situés à une certaine distance des angles, le dégagement de l'encliquetage se trouve facilité. 



  Lorsque le couvercle est en place, les parties des cavités à crans qu'il ne recouvre pas ne sont guère visibles. Plus particulière- ment elles n'attirent pas l'attention , parce qu'elles ne se trouvent pas sur la face antérieure du couvercle. Les crans en saillie et les cavités à crans sont de préférence formés de telle manière qu'après le dégagement de l'encliquetage sur un côté du

   Le coffret suivant l'invention, qui est établi en une   mat@ére   thermoplastique, comprend une partie de coffret inférieure 1 et un couvercle 2. Le couvercle présente un rebord défléchi 3, par lequel il s'engage par-dessus la partie inférieure 1 du coffret le couvercle est retenu par encliquetage sur la partie intérieure 1 du coffret, Suivant l'invention, la face intérieure du rebord 3 du couvercle présente, sur les côtés opposés du rectangle, des cran en saillie 4 distants des angles et qui s'engagent dans des cavi- tés 5 de la partie inférieure du coffret. A l'état encliqueté, les cavités à crans 5 sont accessibles en vue de l'introduction d'un outil 6 qui produit le décliquetage, ainsi qu'on le voit dans la figure 1. Cet outil peut consister   en un   tournevis.

   En intro- duisant le tournevis dans les cavités à crans 5, on peut fléchir le rebord 3 vers l'extérieur; de façon à dégager l'encliquetage. 



  Les crans en saillie   4   et les cavités   à   crans 5 sont de préférence formés de telle manière qu'après le dégagement de l'encliquetage sur un côté du rectangle, le couvercle 2 puisse être enlevé par basculement autour de l'autre côté du rectangle. La paroi latérale de la partie inférieure 1 du coffret présente avantageusement sur sa face extérieure un gradin en retrait 7, destiné   à   recevoir le rebord 3 du couvercle, qui déborde sur cette paroi. De cette façon, le rebord 3 du couvercle qui déborde sur la face extérieure de la partie inférieure 1 du coffret ne fait qu'une légère saillie sur cette face, ce qui exclut la possibilité de dégager l'encli- quetage à l'aide des ongles, c'est-à-dire sans outils.
