Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

   The invention relates to an automatic closure for tubes of toothpaste, soap creams and, in general, deformable containers intended to contain pasty substances.

   Said closure consists essentially of a plate of elastic material, such as rubber or plastics, which has a tongue (formed by cutting in said plate), the edge of which is bevelled. In this way, the beveled edge of the tongue presses the bevel / correspondingly into the plate.

   In the accompanying drawings, there is shown, by way of non-limiting example, the closure which is the subject of the invention, and how it is applied to containers.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   Figure 1 shows, in perspective, a tube / made of polyethylene.

   Figure 2 shows, in section, the part of the tube of Figure 1, which carries the automatic closure.

   Figure 3 shows, in perspective, a cover or screw cap, intended to close tubes of toothpaste and the like and having the automatic closure.

   Figure 4 shows, in cross section, the cover of Figure 3.

   The tube shown in FIG. 1 consists of a polyethylene sleeve 1, closed by a disc or plate 2 of the same material. A curved cutout forms, in this disc, a tongue 4, the edge of which is bevelled. The bevelled part rests against the bevelled part 6 of the plate 2.

  When the tube is filled with a pasty substance, the compression of its wall pushes the pasty substance against the tab 4, opens the latter, and the substance comes out. When the compression stops, the tongue 4, by elasticity, returns to its first position and, by the bevelled edge 5, rests against the bevelled edge 6 of the plate. In turn, the wall of the tube 1 returns by elasticity to its normal position, and the vacuum formed inside the tube attracts the tab 4 against its seat 6 (see FIG. 2).

   In the example of Figures 2 and 3, the closure has been applied to a cap or cover for common cream tubes.

  In this case, the whole stopper can be made of an elastic material, such as polyethylene. The tongue 4 is cut along the cut 3 made through the plate 2 integral with the part 7. which is provided with a thread to allow it to be screwed onto the spout of the tube.

   In this case, to prevent that, during the transport of the tube, its contents pulsed out through the automatic closure

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 following an accidental compression of the tube, a disc 8, made of cork, leather or other suitable material, can be placed inside the cover. Disc 8 can be extracted when you want to use automatic closing.

   The tongue can take any suitable shape.

   CLAIMS
1. Automatic closure for deformable tubes and containers of toothpaste cream and pasty substances in general, characterized in that it consists of a plate of elastic material, preferably plastic, from which a tab has been cut. having its beveled edge, a tab which can move in one direction. under the effect of pressure, and return by elasticity to its original position of contact with the corresponding edge of the plate.
