Abstract
The implement for taking skull and face measurements, e.g. for the purpose of morphological studies, consists of a pair of curved plates (2,3) with a series of radial rods (1) able to slide between them which can be moved to follow the contours of facial or cranial features. The two plates are joined together by a series of screws (4), and they cvan have at least one articulated joint to allow the plates to be opened. The plates can also be equipped with one or more transparent sheets which can be attached on either side to allow a measured contour to be copied.

EMI1.1

EMI1.1
I Device for carrying out cranio-facial measurements for the purpose of a morphological study The invention relates to an instrument making it possible to identify the points necessary for different plots allowing the cranio-facial morphological study.
11 exist apparatuses allowing the survey of the profiles of the moldings in architecture. These consist of comb teeth sliding between two rectilinear plates maintained at constant pressure by rivets. These adapt poorly to the shape of the head and do not allow, in one operation the reading of the maxillofacial points necessary for the study.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
The invention as characterized in the claims solves the problem.
The advantages obtained thanks to this invention consists in being able to raise in an operation around the head and in a precise manner both the profile thanks to the sliding rods according to the profile of the person and the points obtained by sight on plates. transparent. These can slide to the part which has raised the profile and by means of a sheet of paper, it is easy to note the profile and the maxil lo-facial points necessary for the study.
The invention is set out below in more detail with the aid of drawings representing only one embodiment.
Figure I shows in perspective a device made in accordance with the part raising the profile along this axis, by means of sliding rods I abutting on the head and hand-

held in the hangers 2 and 3 fixed to each other by via adjustable clamps 4. The hangers that hold the rods can be hinged. Figure I bis, by hinge 5, screw, grout or stopper to allow easier entry and exit of the head.

Figure 2 shows in perspective the device according to Figure I and I bis, in which is located perpendicular to the profile axis a rod 6 on which the device Figure I and I bis can slide, by means of a vacuum 7 in at least one of the hangers and which adapts to the rod and is fixed by a via 8. At least one transparent plate can be fixed to the rod 6 sliding by means of a hole 9 adapting to the rod 6 and held by a screw 10.
Said rod 6 is designed with a shape that does not allow the sliding parts to rotate on its axis.
Figure 3 shows in perspective a viewfinder to identify the points necessary for the morphological study. It consists of a hollow cylindrical shape II and two segments of cross line

sees in their center 12 and 13 located at a distance from each other in order to be able to superimpose them to find the point in a manner perpendicular to the plane of the transparent plate and the point to be raised. A recessed part 16 in the cylindrical shape allows access to a marker in order to note the point thus obtained.
