Abstract
The wall tie system, consists of a slotted guide (4) which is moulded into the cast wall, and has a recess of dovetail cross-section. The ties which engage with the guide are made e.g. from galvanised iron or stainless steel and have one end (3) which engages with the dovetail slot in the guide. The other end (2) is forked to engage with a layer of mortar. The tie can have a twist in the middle, and the forked end can be replaced by a flat end with a punched-out projection or a hole to engage with the mortar.
