Description
Automatic over-speeding alarm and local information provider for vehicles The device is a means of helping the driver not to exceed the speed limit specified by the local authorities at any location, and could supply information about the area the vehicle is located in.
The device is to use GPS (Global Positioning System) or other system to identify the location of the vehicle, the device would have an information storage system containing data of the road positions and the corresponding speed limits, this way the device processor can identify at any instant the speed limit at that location, in case the vehicle runs at a speed higher than the speed limit of that location, then a comparator gives an alarm signals in flashing lights, displays, beeping, talking instructions or other S"warning means.
:The information storage system containing the road speed limits information can be S"changed or replaced to suite different cities or countries. The device would incorporate a display means for displaying the location speed limit and other assisting displays and a setting means for setting an operator-set speed limit.
Advertising information about the locality in which the vehicle is driving could be incorporated and played by the above mentioned means.
The information storage system could be updated by replacing parts or by wireless transmission.
