Abstract

1. Parking device for motor vehicles with at least two platforms, which are mounted at one end on a frame or building part so as to be movable at a fixed distance from each other and which are movable by means of a drive in such a way that optionally the other end of one of the platforms can be connected to an access way, the lower platform being held by tension members on the upper platform characterised in that above each side edge of the upper platform an arm is arranged in a respective vertical plane running parallel to the side edges, each arm being mounted on the frame or the building part with one of its ends pivotal around a horizontal axis of rotation running perpendicularly to the side edges above the mounted end of the platforms, in that the arms arranged on opposite sides of the platforms are rigidly connected to each other, in that the upper platform is held by means of a tension member at the free end of both arms, and in that the drive acts on the arms and swings these between different angle positions around the axis of rotation.
