Abstract

The invention relates to a fastening element for fastening a part of a furniture (4) to a component (5) that is provided with a fastening pin (1) or to any other part of a furniture. According to the invention, the fastening element (2) has a substantially cylindrical shape and a through opening (7). Said through opening has an entry portion (17) and a directly adjacent (as of 2') fastening portion (14) that is provided with slots (11, 12, 13) and a radial contraction (16). The through opening (7), in its entry portion (17), is provided with an annular groove (20) that is radially expanded. At least the portion (20) of the fastening element (2) between the annular groove (20) and the front face (25) of the fastening element (2) consists of a material that is elastically deformed when a shoulder (6) that is provided on the fastening pin (1) is inserted.
