Abstract

An underwear garment for male use, comprising a main portion housing a pelvic area and/or a pubic area and at least a zone of a hip area of a user, an auxiliary portion positioned centrally and frontally on the main portion with respect to the user and which houses a first anatomical part of male genitals of the user and a supplementary portion connected to the main portion or to the auxiliary portion and which contains a second anatomical part of the genitals of the user that is different to the first anatomical part.

Description

WO 2015/044847 PCT/IB2014/064663 1 UNDERWEAR GARMENT FOR MALE USE The present invention relates to an underwear garment, preferably for male use, or in other words a clothing accessory wearable by a user of the male gender. 5 As is known, different types of male underwear are worn on different occasions and are specialised in containing the male genitals: in particular, these various types of clothing (underpants, jockey briefs, boxer shorts and so on) have a central frontal pouch positioned such as to contain the genitals. 10 The pouch in practice defines a separate space with respect to the main volume of the garment, which is filled by the part of the body corresponding to the pelvis of the person wearing the garment. The prior art has some practical wearing drawbacks, especially for uses in particularly hot and humid environments or when particular movement 15 conditions are required: in fact, given the particular conformation of the male genitals, there is often a containment that is not compatible with anatomy and therefore situations of discomfort can arise due to excessive sweating, over-heating, rubbing or crushing. The object of the present invention is therefore to obviate the problems of 20 the prior art with an underwear garment preferably for male use, according to the claims that follow or according to the description below. In greater detail, the invention relates to an underwear garment which provides better wearability and greater adaptability to the movement types and the profile of the male anatomy, and which therefore offers a better 25 level of containment, maintenance in position and guarantee of ideal conditions of temperature or humidity in the pubic zone of the user. A description now follows of an embodiment of the present invention, denoted in its entirety by reference numeral 1 in the appended drawings which illustrate: 30 - figure 1 illustrates a schematic frontal view of the invention; and WO 2015/044847 PCT/IB2014/064663 2 - figure 2 illustrates a view in transversal section of the under-garment of figure 1. The underwear garment of the invention is denoted in its entirety by reference numeral 1 and comprises a main portion (2) which defines a 5 respective main volume adapted to house a pelvic zone and/or a pubic zone of a user; the underwear garment (1) further comprises a hip zone of a user; the underwear garment (1) further comprises an auxiliary portion (3) positioned centrally and frontally on the main portion (2) with respect to the user which instead defines an auxiliary volume connected to the main 10 volume. The auxiliary volume is for housing at least a first anatomical part of male genitals of the user (mainly, the user's penis). In order to obtain the advantages of the invention the underwear garment (1) further comprises a supplementary portion (4) connected to the main 15 portion (2) or the auxiliary portion (3) and which defines a supplementary volume. The function of this supplementary volume is, in practice, that of making a supplementary volume which is connected to the auxiliary volume defined by the auxiliary portion (3). 20 The supplementary containing volume specifically serves to contain a second anatomical part of the user's genitals that is different to the first anatomical part (i.e., the testicles). In order to give the underwear garment an absolutely identical appearance to known-type underwear garments, and in any case to afford the right 25 anatomical location of the various parts of the genitals, the auxiliary portion (3) and the supplementary portion (4) are mutually contained one inside another: the drawings show that the auxiliary portion (3) in fact contains the supplementary portion (4). From the point of view of the practical realisation, the supplementary 30 portion (4) and the auxiliary portion (3) are made by means of pouches connected to the main portion of the underwear garment respectively by a WO 2015/044847 PCT/IB2014/064663 3 first passage section (5) interposed between the main volume and the auxiliary volume and a second passage section (6) interposed between the auxiliary volume and the supplementary volume. The passage sections are in practice defined by the non-sewn hems of the 5 two respective pouches, and according to the various shapes to be obtained can have different geometrical progressions, and can also be made using various connecting methods of the pouches of the main portion (2) of the underwear garment (seams, heat-welding, gluing and so on). 10 In order to be comfortably worn and washed, the present underwear garment is at least partially made, and preferably totally made, using a textile material (such as for example stretch cotton and/or lycra and/or a like material). Still taking into account the characteristics of wearability which this 15 invention also must guarantee, alike to the underwear garments of known type, stretching means can also be included, acting on the main portion (2) and/or stretching means acting on the auxiliary portion (3) and/or stretching means acting on the supplementary portion (4); these various stretching means can be made using elastic bands and serve to improve 20 adherence of the underwear garment to the user with respect to the hip zone and/or in the frontal pubic zone. The invention attains the advantages cited herein above. In particular, the underwear garment of the invention enables housing, in the relative pouches or internal spaces, the various parts of the male 25 genitals, while keeping them separate and therefore in a better positioning (which is at the same time stabler and more comfortable, and which obstructs the formation and the stagnating of moisture or sweat). In equivalent terms, it is clear that this new underwear garment offers a greater level of comfort, a lower exposure of the intimate parts to 30 environmental irritations of pressure, rubbing or dampening and, within the limits of possibility, even over-heating.
WO 2015/044847 PCT/IB2014/064663 4 The invention described herein can also be made with very few technical constructional modifications with respect to known-type underwear garments, and therefore has production costs or costs for modification of the existing production lines that are very low and very easy to manage. 5
